Level 1 Clinic Saturday October 18, 2008

Level 2 Clinic Saturday November 8, 2008

Level 1 and Level 2 Clinic Description

Our Level 1 Clinics are for green horses and/or beginner riders.  We start off first thing in the morning with ground work.  We will first make sure that we have obedient and responsive horses while our feet are still safely on the ground  During the lunch time hours, each horse/rider will work individually depending on what they want or need.   After the individual work and lunch we all ride together.

   Our goals:
Learn how to communicate with our horses in their language
Learn to be confident, trustworthy, respectable leaders
Learn what makes our horses happy so that we can be safe and have fun
Review equipment for safety, suitability and fit

Riders that have successfully completed a Level 1 clinic are invited to attend a Level 2 clinic.  Our Level 2 Clinics will also start with ground work in the morning, individual work over lunch and riding together in the afternoon.

   Ours goals:
Learn how to control the horse's body parts
Learn about horse selection "Is this the right horse for me"
Start developing self carriage and giving to the bit
   Develop a homework plan

The clinics will start at 9am and end between 3-4pm.

To ensure individual attention only 6 riders are accepted for each clinic. The clinic is considered open until 6 riders have paid the clinic fee.  The clinic is considered closed when 6 riders have paid.  If you are interested in attending a closed clinic let us know in case there is a cancelation.  To reserve a riders spot at one of the clinics send the $100 riders fee and completed application to:

Terry Peiper    6 Buck Dr.    Carlisle PA 17015
All riders are required to wear an approved riding helmet and riding boots.

Auditors are also encouraged to attend.  Some people find it easier to learn without the pressure of hauling a horse and performing in front of others. Many of our riders have audited a clinic before they rode in one.  The $25 auditor fee can be paid the day of the clinic.

Testimonials from some of our riders

"Who would ever believe this is the same pushy, ill mannered yearling I started bringing down there just a summer ago? Pretty good results with the Shrake/Peiper methods, I think!! Can't wait for the clinic! Hoping for decent weather!!"
          Tonda Lewis from Millerstown, PA

"I was SOOOOO excited, it was great! I have seen so many little changes in her since Saturday, that its incredible. Can't wait til you have another clinic. Thanks again for everything, I feel like I have a new horse!"
           Heidi Seifert from Fayetteville, PA

"Many Thanks to you & Micki for a wonderful day.   The Level 1 clinic on May 19th was just awesome! You provided me with the basics I needed. Such simple things can make a huge difference. I really appreciate the use of your 'rhythm collector' and can't wait to use one in my own training routine. I expect to be back later in the year to continue on to a Level 2 clinic. See you then!"
          Jeanine Osman from Mechanicsburg, PA

"Hey,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm still smiling! :*)
I've always enjoyed coming to your clinics - but today topped them all! I just really like Carter - "first love"! ;*) "
