Lesson Procedures
Terry shows riders how to communicate with their horses in a simple user friendly non-abusive way.  Keeping the horses happy, riders and horses safe and having fun are her primary goals.   Becoming a good rider and developing nice horses is a lot of work but the rewards are well worth it.

Students can expect to learn traditional basic horsemanship skills from the ground up.  Only when a student has complete control and obedience of the horse on the ground will they be permitted to mount up.  The riding portion of the lesson consists of warm up exercises for the horse and rider, the lesson plan and a homework plan depending on each individuals' needs.

Students should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled ride time to groom and tack up the horse or 30-40 minutes early for warming up.   Lessons will last approximately 1 hour.

Riding lessons can be scheduled on a “Prepaid” or “Pay as you go” basis.   “Prepaid Lessons”  To reserve a certain time each week and to get the discount sign up for at least 3 lessons in the same month before the 1st of that month.   “Pay as you Go Lessons”  Schedule one lesson at a time.

Lessons for students riding our horses are not available at this time.

For Students riding their own horses
“Pay as you go” Private Lesson $40
“Pay as you go” Group Lesson $30
          “Prepaid” Private Lesson $35

Please call 240-0723 at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make your scheduled lesson.   Credits will be given in case of bad weather.   Prepaid group lessons are on a use it or lose it basis.

All riders are expected to clean up their horse’s manure and hay from the parking area.

All riders are required to wear a helmet, riding pants or jeans and boots .

All riders or their parents need to fill out a Release from Liability form.

"True riding is an endless search for synchrony and harmony. You can get it today and lose it tomorrow. This search is no overnight affair but a progression of steps, measured in tiny increments of success in an endless journey of challenge and discovery."
